Scimedico, LLC completes Preventive Maintenance Services project for the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan. The project entailed preventive maintenance and post "PM" repair on the schools gross anatomy equipment.
"The challenge for Scimedico on this project is the equipment is almost forty years old," explained Scimedico CEO Miguel Bermeo, "but it was worth it to Wayne State to both conduct the preventive maintenance process and repair the equipment for the simple reason that to replace the equipment would cost several hundred thousand dollars."
The Scimedico preventive maintenance process includes equipment inspection, testing, decontamination, and reporting. Preventive maintenance reports capture and document each of these categories and provide managers relevant reporting.
The post preventive maintenance repair process was significant. Wayne State chose to complete many of the repairs themselves in order to hold down cost. Kelly Lord, Scimedico Preventive Maintenance Account Manager, offered, "The benefit of the Scimedico approach is we identify problems as part of the preventive maintenance process and leave it to the customer to decide how they want to complete the repairs."
